Monday 27th January – Friday 7th February 2024
• Jonathon Diffey, 45, of Green Lane, Shanklin pleaded guilty to using a handheld mobile phone / device while driving a motor vehicle on a road. He was handed a 6 penalty points on his licence, fined £128 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £51 surcharge.
• Kerry Jacobs, 24, of Spring Walk, Newport pleaded guilty to drug driving (BZE) and drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 24 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work attached. She was ordered to pay a £114 surcharge.
• Donna Ford, 47, of Orchard Lane, Southampton pleaded guilty to drug driving (cocaine), drug driving (cannabis), drug driving (BZE) and possession of a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine). She was banned from driving for 24 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work attached. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Darren Stride, 48, of Flint Path, Newport pleaded guilty to being in charge of a motor vehicle with proportion of specified controlled drug above specified limit (BZE) and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Matthew Blanchard, 50, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to 5x theft from a shop and possession of a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis) . He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £400.25 compensation.
• Jason Holbrook, 51, of St James Close, East Cowes pleaded guilty to an act of outraging public decency. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Harrison Mills-Jones, 18, of Queens Court, East Cowes pleaded guilty to theft from a motor vehicle. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 8 rehabilitation days and 50 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £250 compensation.
• Benjamin Norris, 20, of Albany Road, Newport pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £249 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £100 surcharge.
• Kerry Tarran, 42, of Spring Hill, Ventnor pleaded guilty to theft from a shop and using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress. She was handed a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £250 compensation.
• Hazel Stanton, 61, of Alfred Street, East Cowes pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving. She was banned from driving for 12 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work attached. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Jack Mcmaster, 28, of Green Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and a £26 surcharge.
• Harry Rimell, 25, of Millways, Freshwater pleaded guilty to common assault and using threatening / abusive words / behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress He was fined £750 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Anish Tiwari, 20, of West Hill Road, Ryde was found guilty to engaging in controlling / coercive behaviour in an intimate / family relationship. He was made subject to a 24-month community order with 10 rehabilitation days and 80 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £320 costs and a £114 surcharge. He was also made subject to a restraining order until February 2030.
• Sean Downey, 43, of St Cross Lane, Newport pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £100 surcharge.
Mark Booth-pain, 45, of Vectis Road, East Cowes pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £11 compensation.
• Matthew Rowbotham, 29, of Buttercup Glade, Newport pleaded guilty to drink driving (75). He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £553 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £221 surcharge.
• Conor Jones-Arnold, 24, Fairlee Road, Newport pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis) and drug driving (BZE). He was banned from driving for 17 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 130 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
Separately, he pleaded guilty to drink driving and was handed a 20-month driving ban, concurrent to the other sentence.
• Colin Brodie, 41, of Sylvan Drive, Newport pleaded guilty to harassment without violence. He was made subject to a 18-month community order with 150 hours unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge. He was also made subject to a restraining order until February 2027.
• Kelvin Cook, 42, of Redver Gardens, Newport pleaded guilty to drug driving (BZE). He was banned from driving for 12 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitationd ays and 150 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Luis Montague, 20, of Park Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to burglary other than dwelling – theft and attempt burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and 12 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £475 compensation.
• Thomas Hirst, 21, of Nettlestone Green, Nettlestone pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £32 surcharge.
• Robert Okeefe, 37, of HMP Isle Of Wight pleaded guilty to assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm. He was handed a 36-week prison sentence.
• Oliver Williams, 19, of Priors Walk, Newport pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in private place. He was handed a 6-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £26 surcharge.
• Gary Morrow, 47, of High Street, Brading pleaded guilty to drug driving (BZE). He was banned from driving for 20 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and 12 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.
• Ronald Murison, 69, of Medina Avenue, Newport pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £40 costs with a £16 surcharge.
