This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 21st October – Friday 25th October 2024
• Russell Voysey, 51, of Prospect Road, Newport pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £80 surcharge.
• Beverley Mitchell, 61, of Niton Road, Rookley pleaded guilty to drink driving (61). She was banned from driving for 17 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.
• Nicholas Barton, 35, of Avenue Road, Sandown pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 17 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days attached. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs with £114 surcharge.
• Tanith Phelps-Williams, 42, of Steyne Road, Bembridge pleaded guilty to failing to provide, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and possession of a Class B drug – cannabis. She was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £562 and ordered to pay £400 costs with a £225 surcharge.
• Peter Adams, 40, of Great Preston Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to drink driving (45). He was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
