Isle of Wight darts star Keegan Brown was back to his winning ways last night (Saturday) as he beat the Czech Republic’s Karel Sedlacek 3-0 to sail through to the second round of the PDC World Championship.
26-year-old Keegan – nicknamed The Needle – was on fire at Alexandra Palace where he played a 3-dart average of 95.78 and scored no less than six 180s.
The St Mary’s Hospital worker will be hoping to better on last year’s performance in the World Championship when he reached the last 16. Unfortunately, Brown came up against retiring World Champion Phil Taylor who took the win 4-0.
Keegan progresses to Round 2 and will go up against Jelle Klaasen next Friday.
Brown speaks about the match…
“Just over a year ago I was close to losing my Tour Card, so to play well on this stage is extra special.”
