The number of Island residents claiming Jobseekers Allowance dropped by 224 people to 3210 last month compared to April, it has been revealed.
As the summer season gets well underway, the drop was expected as many seasonal jobs become available.
Year-on-year, 103 more people were claiming the benefit compared to May 2012.
