It’s June – so get into summer with some fabulous shows this month.
Get on Stage youth group are bringing the classic tale of ‘Wind in the Willows’ to Trinity Theatre on 6th and 7th June. Join the gang as they head to visit Ratty, Mole, Badger and of course Mr Toad in this musical adaptation of Wind In The Willows. With a strong 1920’s feel, there are toe tapping musical numbers, exciting dancing routines and an even more excitable Mr Toad!

‘Oliver’ is staged at Ryde School’s lovely Jenny Kerry Centre on 26th and 27th June. This well known musical takes you on a journey through Victorian London as young Oliver Twist escapes the workhouse and discovers a world full of colourful characters, all played by the school’s talented Year 7-9 cast. Filled with toe-tapping songs, comedy, drama and unforgettable moments, this classic story of bravery and friendship will have you smiling one minute and reaching for tissues the next. To commemorate the 120th anniversary of Henrik Ibsen’s death, Trinity Theatre will present a new production of ‘Hedda Gabler’, bringing one of modern drama’s most complex and compelling characters back to the stage. The play follows a brilliant but restless woman trapped in a life she never wanted. As she struggles against societal expectations and her own dissatisfaction, Hedda’s attempts to assert control lead to manipulation, desperation, and ultimately devastating consequences.
The production pairs Ibsen’s enduring themes with the unique atmosphere of our historic venue. Audiences can expect a sharp interpretation that highlights the play’s psychological tension, emotional volatility and timeless exploration of power and constraint.
