Open Studios CIC has announced the launch of the 2024 Isle of Wight Open Studios website. Running from Friday 23rd August to Sunday 8th September 2024, Isle of Wight Open Studios 2024 is set to be the year’s most exciting and widespread celebration of art on the Island. The Directors of the newly formed Community Interest Company (CIC) have announced that the new dynamic website is now open for artists to register, and for visitors to start to see what will be showcased during this Island-wide event. The new website brings a fresh visual identity and enhanced accessibility, ensuring that artists and art enthusiasts alike have a platform to connect and celebrate creativity. For 2024 Area Reps, artists themselves, will be supporting local artists across 5 clusters across the Island, with each cluster promoting a sense of community. Paul Windridge, Area Rep for West Wight who has a studio in the Freshwater Bay area said,
““I believe that the revival of Isle of Wight Open Studios will help encourage people to view the island as a cultural destination, and I’m delighted to be involved.”
Jo Kori, an Island-born artist based in Ventnor, and Area Rep for South and South-East Wight added:
““I was immediately struck by the collaborative energy and enthusiasm of all the participating artists, which compelled me to ensure that my area of the Wight would be actively represented and involved. There is genuine care, experience and pragmatic decision-making behind the way this event is being organised across all Wight communities this year.”
