The Isle of Wight Museum of Glass at Arreton Barns is set to mark its 10th anniversary this weekend (28th and 29th March) with a free 2-day celebration featuring talks, exhibitions and guided tours.
The special event will see visitors invited to explore the museum between 10:00 and 16:30 on both days, with a programme of activities planned to highlight the history and success of the popular attraction.
Founder and curator Anton Doroszenko will deliver a short talk at 14:00 on each day, explaining how the museum was established. The talks are expected to last around 30 minutes.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a special exhibition of rare and notable glass pieces, alongside guided tours running throughout the day.
As part of the celebrations, those attending will be entered into a free prize draw to win a piece of Isle of Wight glass, with each visitor receiving 5 entries.
Complimentary food and drink will be available across the event, with organisers encouraging attendees to register in advance to assist with planning.
Although entry is free, voluntary donations are welcomed, with visitors also able to support the museum through purchases in the on-site shop.
