An Isle of Wight Muay Thai fighter has won a Champion Belt in Thailand.
Hanif Sen – representing Team Conflict on the Isle of Wight – left the Island 3 months ago to train in Thailand at only 17 years old.
Hanif had an amateur Muay Thai record of 1 win and 1 loss, and a pro-am record of 1 win in k1 under coach Andy Harvey, owner of Conflict Muay Thai.
The Isle of Wight martial arts fighter has trained at RC Rachai Gym, winning 3 out of 3 pro fights, making him the only active professional fighter from the Island.
Last week, Hanif took on a title fight, winning the Bangla Boxing Stadium Champion Belt.
Coach Andy Harvey said:
“Hanif really is smashing it for the islands only Muay Thai Team. His coaches – myself, Ben Kohn and Andris Toth – could not be happier
“He has just been sponsored and will be staying for a further 3-4 months to further his pro career in Thailand before heading back to the Island and Team Conflict to continue taking the UK by storm.
“With fights already booked in for the end of the year, he will be fighting alongside his good friend John Chambers, who has his pro debut in Muay Thai on the 19th of April.”
