Motorcyclists from across the Isle of Wight are once again invited to take part in a special tribute ride on Sunday 9th November in honour of Remembrance Sunday and those who have served, past and present.
The annual ride – inspired by the national ‘Ring of Red’ rides such as the M25 event – will see riders wearing red and completing a full loop of the Island in a show of respect and remembrance.
This year’s route is expected to cover around 75 miles and take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, with the ride setting off promptly at 08:00 from East Cowes Esplanade, near Shoreside Café. Organisers have confirmed an earlier start this year to allow a smoother ride with less congestion.
As in previous years, the ride will pass through many towns and villages across the Isle of Wight. A short stop is planned at Blackgang Viewpoint car park for a quick break before continuing along the Military Road and towards the West Wight.
The ride will conclude at the Morrisons car park in Newport, before riders move on to the town square in time for the 11:00 two-minute silence.
Riders of all experience levels are welcome to join, and participants are encouraged to wear something red as part of the tribute. Organisers have asked that all riders adhere to speed limits and road safety regulations throughout.
The event is weather-dependent and may be cancelled on safety grounds if conditions are poor. Any changes will be posted in advance.
For more information, riders are encouraged to check local community pages ahead of the event.

the riders to adhere to the speed limits.

our freedom would have been gone forever.
