The historic Bembridge windmill is set to reopen from Tuesday (18th May), according to the National Trust.
Pre-booked tours will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with guides on hand to show visitors around the last windmill on the Isle of Wight.
The iconic structure recently underwent a refurbishment, which saw new stocks and sweeps installed after being removed more than 2 years ago for safety reasons as decay had set it, thanks to a grant from the Culture Recovery fund.
Built in the 1700s, the mill has been an instantly recognisable feature of Bembridge and the Island for years and even featured in a painting by JMW Turner in 1795.

Painted by Turner, and I don’t mean he was up there on a ladder with the Ronsil.
It does need a splash of paint on the pebble dash walls,as it has become a bit of an eyesore? Maybe even get a local street artist in to bring it into the 21st century?
