The Apollo Youth Theatre is back in August with Peter Pan Forever, an original show written by Karl Whitmore and directed by Youth Theatre leader Mish Whitmore.
This is their take on the much-loved story of the little boy who never grew up. It is a sequel to the original tale; you will meet all the characters you remember along the way: the Lost Boys, Tinkerbell and lots of swashbuckling pirates. It’s a family show with plenty for both adults and children to enjoy – and you might just find out exactly who Peter Pan really is!
‘Peter Pan Forever’ runs from 1st to 5th August, with a matinee as well as an evening show on the Saturday. Get your tickets now from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/apollotheatre/peter-pan-returns/e-amexqq or call 01983 210010.
Meanwhile, over at Shanklin Theatre, the Pepperpot Players present Murdered To Death by Peter Gordon from 28th to 30th August.
The inept and bungling Inspector Pratt battles against the odds and his own incompetence to solve the murder of the house’s owner. It soon becomes clear that the murderer isn’t finished yet.
Will the miscreant be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom or will the audience die laughing first? Get your tickets at https://www.shanklintheatre.com/events/the_pepperpot_players_present_murdered_to_death/details.aspx or call 01983 868000.
TheatreTrain is also recruiting for their summer workshops, each of which ends with a showcase to which family and friends are invited, and the students have the chance to show the skills they have learned. Looking ahead to September, coming up is Romeo and Juliet at the Apollo Theatre, and GASP presents Iolanthe at Bembridge Village Hall.
