Firefighters from 3 stations worked through the night to pump flood water away from a property in Alverstone.
A retained crew from Sandown were mobilised to village at around 00:15 when it was reported to the fire service that a property close to the river had started to flood.
A second appliance from Shanklin was also sent to the scene, followed by the Land Rover 4×4 from Ryde equipped with sandbags.
A flood warning was issued for the Langbridge and Alverstone areas yesterday evening stating that at around midnight the Eastern Yar would be at its highest.
Crews spent over 3 hours on scene pumping the flood water from the property. They have since stood down and returned to station.
In nearby Newchurch, firefighters from Newport and East Cowes worked to clear flooding for another property.
1 appliance from Newport and the Incident Support Unit from East Cowes were mobilised at just before 22:30 to assist homeowners in the village.
