3 exhausted paddle boarders were rescued by a passing boat off St Helens this afternoon (Saturday).
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were alerted to the situation at around 16:15 when Solent Coastguard received a Mayday call from a boat.
It was reported that the vessel had picked up 3 individuals who had become exhausted offshore.
The trio were transferred ashore near the Old Church and were met by Coastguard Rescue Officers.

Well done to all who helped. How are we now discussing spitting!! Footballers do it all the time & yes it’s disgusting to us ladies but ask any bloke & they just shrugged their shoulders!! All the footballers are tested for the virus before a match anyway, so at least the spit is safe!!
