Blackgang Chine has been shortlisted for 5 national theme park awards, with the Isle of Wight attraction calling on Islanders to get behind it before the public vote closes later this month.
The attraction is in the running for Seaside Park of the Year, Best Landscaped Theme Park, Best Customer Service and Best Social Media Content at the 2026 UK Theme Park Awards.
Blackgang Chine’s Head of Marketing, Laura Baxter, has also been shortlisted for Theme Park Personality of the Year, making her one of only a handful of individual nominees from across the industry.
The Isle of Wight attraction is among a small group of UK parks to secure multiple nominations this year, alongside Alton Towers Resort, Paultons Park, Drayton Manor Resort and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Blackgang Chine was 1 of 37 nominated attractions visited by UK Theme Park Awards founder Lawrence Roots this summer as part of a 2,000-mile road trip.
Lawrence completed the journey in 15 days between 20th July and 3rd August, clocking up 56 hours of driving across England and Wales and crossing the Solent to visit the Island.

The journey is described as a potential new world record, although confirmation of any record is not provided.
The latest nominations follow success for Blackgang Chine in 2025, when the park took Gold for Best Customer Service and Silver for Seaside Park of the Year.
It also secured Bronze for Best Marketing Campaign for its ‘Talking Bins with Joe Sugg’ campaign.
Dan White, Park Manager at Blackgang Chine, has said:
“Five nominations is a good day for a park our size. We’re up against operators with budgets we can only dream of, so being on the same shortlist means a lot to the team who do that work every day of the year, not just in August.
“The public vote is 50 per cent of the result, so Island support decides this. If Blackgang Chine has been part of your summer, part of your childhood, or you’re a lifelong visitor, two minutes on the awards website, before the 28th August, would mean the world to us.”
Public votes will account for half of the final result, with the other half decided by a panel of 11 industry judges.
Voting is free and open to anyone, with those taking part required to register before casting 1 vote in each category.
The ballot closes on 28th August, with the winners set to be announced at an awards ceremony at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort on 10th September.
