Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are responding to a road traffic collision between Wroxall and Upper Ventnor this afternoon (Tuesday).
The incident, which occurred at just before 14:25, has happened on the B3327 between either end of Rew Lane.
Island Echo is told that the front end of a white car has sustained damage following a collision with a motorcycle.
Motorists are facing minor delays in the area but the road remains open. Southern Vectis say there could be delays to their Route 3 service.
UPDATE @ 15:05 – It has been confirmed that a motorcycle and car have been involved in the collision on Clarence Road.

It’s mad how many car crashes there are over there at the moment.
It is on the first bend as you enter Wroxall from Ventnor and it seems a MotorCycle might have been on the wrong side of the road and a white suzuki car (I think) seems to have smashed it into the wall.. The wreckage is awful and I just hope all are well. There are near misses on that stretch every single day with folk trying to push up the hill past parked cars causing anyone coming into Wroxall to mount the pavement.
The bike was avoiding the car.

People seem to be in such a mad hurry and it seems some drivers dont have enough patience or respect for other drivers…just hope the people involved in this crash are okay

In fairness I imagine they’re keeping busy. It’s probably just another day in the office to them.
Up goes our insurance again, at this rate Island drivers will be paying more for their insurance than the rest of the country…however, hope they are ok….

The cars parked coming out of Wroxall towards Ventnor do not cause a problem, there is more than enough room for two cars to pass each other along side the parked cars. The problem is old dodderers and young drivers are not capable to judge
the width of cars causing panic and accidents.
