Garlic lovers will be descending on Hale Common this weekend (19th/20th August) as the world-famous Garlic Festival returns for a fun-filled 2 days of food, music and entertainment.
Adults and kids of all ages will be entertained by festival favourites such as the Garlic Games, The Flying Seagull Project, a BMX bike stunt display team, Haven Falconry and the Garlic Festival Fun Dog Show. Camp Garlic will also offer free arts and crafts, games, kids’ yoga and more.
Meanwhile, acts such as The Quo Experience, Foo Fighterz, Baggywrinkles, The Missing Heads, The Ohmz, X Directory, The Hanging Baskets and Emellia will be taking to the big stage.
TV’s Bluey will also be appearing at intervals across both days of this year’s Garlic Festival!
Of course, the marquees will be full of local produce and treats such as garlic beer, fudge and burgers, as well as wares from talented makers. Keep an eye out for the chilli and garlic eating competition too!
In the Theatre Kitchen, the Island’s very own Robert Thompson MBE will be demonstrating his passion for wonderful local flavours and is joined by a fantastic lineup of local businesses who will be showcasing what they have on offer.
