Due to the national introduction of voter ID requirements, registered voters heading to polling stations across the Island tomorrow (4th July) will need to take some form of photo ID. Upon your arrival at your local polling station, you will be asked to show a form of photo ID. Failure to bring this will result in you being turned away. Voters may already have a form of photo ID that is acceptable, including the following:
- Passport
- Driving licence (including provisional licence)
- Blue badge
- Certain concessionary travel cards (such as an Older Person’s Bus Pass or an Oyster 60+ card)
- Identity card with Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) mark
- Biometric Immigration document
- Defence identity card
- Certain national identity cards
Find out what ID is accepted by visiting http://www.iow.gov.uk/VoterID.

Just won’t vote then don’t make a difference
Vote for none of the above, save your vote, speak out without going.
I’m voting Labour, can I bring my People’s Republic of China Party membership card?
Oh dear. Plastic qwerty strikes again.
I won’t be voting if I can’t vote anon, which is my right to do so, taken away by tory shits so not voting for them anyway. No one else in there will do bugger all to benefit people like me or thousands of others, so not worth the trip either to the polling station. All of them want thousands more houses built just to benefit chavs and immigrans, so thats no benefit to any of us, so in a nutshell nothing worth voting for. Maybe if and when there IS, I may vote for that worthiness.
Umm, what? Of course your vote is anonymous.
I take it you have voted before?
While you need ID to vote, nobody knows who you voted for apart from you.
Indeed, if you put anything on your voting slip that allows you to be identified, your paper will be considered spoiled and your vote won’t be counted.
how stunning and brave these non voting numptys are..don’t effing complain on friday you dozy ringers..
Exactly, totally agree. Won’t vote but then will moan, moan ,moan. Bellends
I don’t care who you vote for ,but please vote.
Don’t forget to vote Labour tomorrow
They were the Party who formed the NHS
and they are the party who will save the NHS
Vote for Emily
As a floating voter this is how I see things. The new Government is almost certainly going to be Labour. In which case voting Conservative makes absolutely no sense. It will be like shooting oneself in the foot.
Our island desperately needs a voice in Parliament. One that the Government will listen to. We know that simply isn’t going to happen with Bob Seely, so voting for Bob is a complete waste of time. Whereas, a new Labour government would have to listen to island MPs if the island elects two Labour MPs, and those Labour MPs would have to deliver for the island, because if they don’t, they know, and the Labour Party knows, that they will be booted out in 5 years time.
Personally I will be voting for Labour, time for change.
Labour are the only party to save the struggling National Health Service,
also they are the only party to help those families who have been
struggling since the pandemic and now rely on benefits.
Think carefully before ticking the box.
It’s Labour for me, things can only get better.
Don’t forget if you want a better future for your children and their
children – Vote Labour
