Thousands of spectators turned out over the weekend as the Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show returned to Newport and Ryde, showcasing around 400 classic and specialist vehicles across the 2-day event.
Running from 10:00 to 16:00 on both Saturday 6th September in Newport and Sunday 7th September in Ryde, the free-to-attend event brought together a vast array of vintage, retro and iconic cars from across the Isle of Wight and mainland UK.
Visitors to Newport Quay and Ryde Esplanade enjoyed a nostalgic trip through motoring history, with models on display ranging from early 20th-century gems to well-known classics of the 80s and 90s, with a splash of modern motors too.
Funds raised during the weekend will benefit local charities, with organisers encouraging attendees to give generously while enjoying the celebrations.
Held annually in memory of Victor Gallucci – who founded the show more than 20 years ago – the Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show remains one of the most popular events in the local calendar.
An event spokesperson has said:
“What an incredible weekend it’s been! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show – from the crowds on Newport Quay on Saturday to the fantastic turnout on Ryde Esplanade today.
“We’ve loved celebrating these stunning classic cars with you, and the atmosphere across both days was truly special.
“A big shout-out to the car owners, exhibitors, entertainers, volunteers, and of course you – the visitors – for making the show such a success!
“See you all next year for another unforgettable celebration of motoring history on the Isle of Wight!”
