The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, the voice of the Island’s business community, is still seeking views from local businesses as part of its annual survey.
The Chamber, based at Branstone, represents more than 700 member businesses across the Isle of Wight and thousands of employees. As part of the accredited British Chambers network, the Island’s Chamber carries the views of the Isle of Wight business community to Westminster and beyond, influencing the work of the British Chambers of Commerce to lobby the government.
The Chamber is asking all Island businesses to take part in an annual survey, providing first-hand insights and experiences of what’s really happening in the Island’s economy. Businesses don’t have to be Chamber members to take part and share their views.
Steven Holbrook, Chief Executive of IW Chamber, says:
“The Isle of Wight is home to a thriving and diverse business community, and your voice is vital. Our survey is your chance to share insights, challenges, and priorities, helping us better understand the needs of Island businesses.
“The feedback we receive will guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts, support services, and initiatives to connect and strengthen the Island’s business community. For non-members, this is an opportunity to share your perspective and understand how the Chamber could support your business. Please do take the time to engage and share your views.”
Results from this survey will be published and used to inform the Chamber’s actions for 2025 and beyond.
The survey closes on Friday (14th February).

Business is thriving. Lol
WHERE, is there something I am missing.
So many empty shops and derelict hotels, things are
so bad on the island nowdays, even the Council
UNLIKE other Councils around the country are
charging motorists £2.00 nightly parking charge
and in Sandown it costs people 50p to use public
toilets
HARDLY WHAT I CALL THRIVING,
maybe persons of the Chamber of commerce
need to pay a visit to Specsavers to see for themselves.
I haven’t even got started about the state of the
Ferry Companies.
