A car has rolled over and come to rest upside down on its roof after hitting a brick wall in Godshill this morning (Wednesday).
The single vehicle incident has occurred on the main road through the village near the junction with Dubbers.
Emergency services are currently on scene having been called at around 10:00.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are checking over the occupants of the car, but no serious injuries are thought to have been sustained.
The road remains open in both directions with some delays, but is likely to be closed.
UPDATE @ 10:50 – 2 people are being conveyed to hospital for further assessment having sustained minor injuries.
A white Peugeot 3008 has collided with a brick wall on Newport Road, forcing the vehicle over onto its roof.
The road has been closed in both directions but is expected to reopens within the next 30 minutes once recovery has been completed.
UPDATE @ 11:40 – The road has now re-opened in both directions.

More bad driving on the IW
Glad there were no serious injuries but you couldn’t make this stuff up… how does a vehicle hit a wall hard enough to roll it? Perhaps it was the huge speed difference from 20 to 30 that confused the driver.
Phone, drugs, booze and general idiotic stupidity…
It 30 through that area
More old people out for cream teas will be along soon.
Yes it will be much safer without this “driver”.
Ting tong, your comment is ageist and offensive. Please apologise.
And funny! – and I’m talking as someone fast approaching “cream tea” age! 😉
LMFAO, GET OVER YOURSELF PING PONG….!
Oh dear, your poor bottom! Don’t fret, I’m sure there’s an oinment for that.
You are a complete idiot, i think you will find the majority of incidents on island roads are mainly involving young in experienced drivers along with the many that think drug driving is also ok which once again is the younger generation so wind your neck you ageist moron
Care to have a small wager about the age of the driver and the cause of the incident, mate?
how the hell did that happen medical incident or phone
30 limit and they managed to roll the car, more idiots will be along soon…
yet another rollover, what is it about the Islands roads, or should I say drivers??
Something needs to be done, it’s getting ridiculous, do we have to wait for a major incident that involves pedestrians as well as drivers and dare I say fatalities?
I hope all involved are ok.
Maybe it was that bloke jerking off while driving?
My money is that they were on the phone.
More driving with undue care and attention…. maybe needs an eye test.. !! Or do a new driving test !!
Hey up, you can’t park there sir
Love to know how it happened, but quite impossible to comment without knowing.
Was Katie ‘Jordan’ Price driving?
I have noted with interest the number of cars that not only come to grief on the Island in no-other-driver-involved incidents, but also the high percentage of what we used to call ‘rollers.’ Speed will nearly always be a major factor, but it is surprisingly difficult to roll a car and will involve a number of abnormal actions or factors. Interesting.
