Newport Isle of Wight Football Club manager Steve Brougham has shown his ambition for the club by signing East Cowes Vics promising youngster Jake Younie for the 2013/14 season.
Younie, who naturally plays as a centre-half, can also play in midfield or full-back and is keen to play football at a higher standard by entering the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier.
Speaking about the signing, Brougham said:
“Jake is a player who has the right attitude. He is young, fit and has shown a good attitude by wanting to play at a higher level, which he will get the opportunity to do. I’m really pleased to be able to sign Jake, he has a great future at the club.”
