RSPCA Isle of Wight has announced the opening of its new charity shop located at 168 High Street, Ryde. The new store has opened its doors to the public, with all money raised being used to support the charity’s Animal Centre near Rookley. The shop features a wide variety of products, clothing, books, homeware and more, all generously donated by members of the community. Every purchase made at the shop directly impacts RSPCA Isle of Wight’s services supporting animal rescue, providing veterinary care, rehabilitation and rehoming or release to the wild. Steve Backhouse, Branch Director of RSPCA Isle of Wight
“We are excited to bring this new shop to Ryde. “Our new Ryde shop offers affordable and sustainable shopping, and also serves as a hub for community involvement and support. We have an enthusiastic and welcoming team ready to greet you and help with any shopping needs.”
The Ryde store is the charity’s fourth on the Island, complementing existing charity shops in Newport, Sandown and Ventnor. RSPCA Isle of Wight is an independently registered charity with 95% of its income raised on the Island through its shops, donations and legacies. The new shop is designed to be a welcoming space for all members of the community. Volunteers and staff have worked tirelessly to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where shoppers can discover hidden treasures while contributing to a worthy cause. That’s great to see! We hope it works out well. Looking forward to visiting, Hopefully the manager in there won’t be stood outside smoking all day by the door like the little woman at age concern next door.
It’s not a good look, someone smoking. If it’s outside of a shop, it’s off-putting to go in. Not respectful of other people.
That is why I don’t go to the Premier Inn in

Sounds great. They should have called it Woolworths.
Another charity shop , charge more than poundland and peacocks. Most donated too. Guess it could have been another vape , hairdressers , cafe or vape shop. How exciting
But, better than an empty shop, I suppose?
