They had serious damage too front end .time will tell whos at fault .not always biker for sure
.. I spoke to the driver of Golf around 2.50pm outside Fire Stn. He wanted directions. He was very shaken up, said he was turning right towards Sandown when the bike overtook 2-3cars also waiting and ran across his front as he turned..
Hope they will be okay xx
To many accidents let’s all take 1 extra second and look out for each other as the next fatality could be you
No one will listen to your good advice, you can’t educate pork…
During my 20 min drive today I witnessed some awful driving, tailgating, people not aware of what’s going on around them, youngsters overtaking by swerving at the last minute…its just basic rules of the road that are being missed. A lot just seem out for themselves 🙁
Being a new biker myself you realise how many cars are totally unaware that you’re on the road…speedy recovery to this rider, hope the injuries aren’t too serious
Get well soon. Hope there are no life changing injuries.
was riding along with this nipper next to me day before yesterday..get well soon mate.
Thank you for the kind words, the golf pulled out and flat footed it to try and show off. I definitely wasn’t to blame as the car in front of me turned left so I was only doing 15 is tops.
Just seen the black golf that was involved smashed up still driving about with a front light completely missing and bonnet tied down!!
This is down to the police if they let him drive it away that’s down to them
Do hope the biker makes a full recovery.. clearly the golf driver is ok to still be driving about!?..
there was nearly another crash today when i was waiting to turn right for the thompsons nursery from Arreton road about ten to two.just as i was turning two persons on small motor bike shot across from red hill lane into watery lane. i just missed them plus there was a bus coming along from Newport.
Too many chavs, driving as they live their lives, without care for anyone else but themselves, arrogant, vile beings, lets hope the innocent get better soon as the guilty will not pay the price from any court nowadays.
Please may all involved make a speedy recovery saw the male motorists on floor shortly after wasn’t a nice site poor man
More brain-dead chav’s will be along shortly….
Too many crashes on the Fiveways, lots caused by people jumping the lights. Something needs to be done about it, before someone gets killed.
I was just gonna say were the lights jumped. Really hope motorcyclist is not too seriously hurt. I must admit I’ve nearly come a cropper with a boy racer recently luckily I was watching what he was doing. It’s scary out there
Too true – live close to the lights – far too many accidents at this black spot.
Sending love to the motorcycle victim and the family. X
Wish him well, hope insured, especially with aftermarket exhaust fitted..
OMG, yet another accident. Are people not following the rules of the road over here or something?
My wife passed here just after the accident. She tells me that she thought the traffic lights were not sequencing correctly.
Nothing wrong with the sequencing – live close to the lights as well
Working fine i went through just ater
The event
What a bout the people in the car hope they are ok
All young chavs.they all looked ok too me! Was sat at lights
It was my mum and step dad and little sister actually
Why all this talk of chavs ?
I where tracksuits because they are comfortable, and sometimes a cap, if it is sunny. I don’t class myself as a chav,
But I bet other people do.
Just because someone ain’t dressed to the nines, does not make them instantly guilty.
I presume that both party’s were partially to blame.
Hope ALL are ok, obviously.
I was a passenger in the car. I had my 4 year old & 17 year old daughter in the car . My partner was driving. We where on a brake away . I’m still shaken by the incident & my kids.
No tracksuits involved . I’m quite hurt by the chav thing. I hope the motor cyclist is OK.
I would sincerely like to apologize on behalf of the 90% of islander’s who are as thick as f***, they know no better, and are quite embarrassing.
The other 10% including myself wish you nothing but love.
Ps. be careful, because people can’t drive properly over here.
Especially when the suns out. x
Thank you!! All the people on the island that we spoke to where really lovely & helpful. The lady house we where sat out side was very kind to offer us to use her loo. Another family down the road offered us coffee & something for my 4 year old . One guy at halfords gave us some gaff tape to secure my car so we could go home on the ferry & another there asked if we needed a lift.
