An incident involving 3 vehicles is causing significant delays on a busy road between Newport and Sandown this afternoon (Monday).
Police are in attendance at the scene on the outskirts of Apse Heath at Branstone opposite the Chilli farm.
The rear-end shunt saw a grey VW Polo collide into the rear of Grey VW Golf subsequently hitting a Red Kia.
No injuries were sustained by anyone involved including a number of children.
The road is under police direction with tailbacks in both directions.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as traffic is building.
UPDATE – The incident has now been cleared.
1 person sustained minor injuries, it has been confirmed.

I saw that Kia in Ryde about an hour after this. The guy blocked the junction and then started shouting at another motorist when they disapproved. The F word with a heavy northern accent. Another quality moment from an unpleasant tourist.
Probably driving with his Whippet sat on his lap and His pigeons flying around car.
Too many drivers not looking and tailgating.. or just over the speed limit… too busy looking around at scenery, or talking with others in the car and not looking at what’s in front… Hope it is not the one with blue or green sidelights lit !! If was then no insurance…
