Police are investigating a 2nd burglary in Cowes today (Monday), but whether this latest incident is linked to the theft of tools from a building site down the road remains to be seen. This latest incident saw Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary called to Cowes Combined Services and Social Club on High Street just after midnight this morning. It is understood that the offender/s gained access by forcing entry to a back door, with a till insert stolen from the premises. Luckily the insert didn’t contain any cash. Anyone with any information on the incident is urged to contact police quoting 44240177813. It was just hours ago that Island Echo reported on the theft of numerous tools from a site on Bath Road in the town. Various items including power tools, batteries and copper fittings were taken.
