
A woman has been arrested in Ryde on suspicion of the murder of a man in the West Midlands.
Police entered an address near West Stores on St John’s Road in Ryde at around 08:45 this morning (Friday) and detained 2 individuals on suspicion of the murder of 20-year-old Tamba Momodou.
Tamba was shot several times resulting in fatal wounds in Horsehay, West Midlands on 13th October last year. He was shot when a number of individuals arrived in a car and opened fire.
Over 19 people have now been arrested in connection with the investigation into Mr Momodou’s death. A £10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to a conviction.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has said:
“Officers were assisting colleagues from West Mercia Police in the Ryde area this morning (June 25) to make an arrest relating to a West Mercia Police investigation.
“This relates to an incident in the Telford area – there are no offences relating to the Isle of Wight.”
