The Isle of Wight Young Farmers Club has donated more than 200 items to the Isle of Wight Foodbank, as part of National Young Farmers Week.
The theme of this year’s campaign is inclusivity – Young Farmers Club is for everyone! Despite the name, you don’t need to come from a farming background to join, just have an interest in agriculture, animals or the outdoors.
The membership is for 10-28 year olds and they meet at least twice a month. Young Farmers is great for meeting new people, making new friends and learning more about rural life, all whilst having fun!
As part of the campaign, the Isle of Wight Young Farmers have been raising donations for the Isle of Wight Food Bank, in order to support and give back to the rural Island community.
The club collected a total of 221 items for the IOW Foodbank, which were handed over earlier this week.
