A woman is being tended to by paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service following an incident on Sandown Seafront tonight (Friday).
The situation unfolded shortly before 21:15 with a local ambulance crew responding to Culver Parade to aid a female located on the beach.
Coastguard Rescue Officers from Bembridge and Ventnor are also on scene, although the incident appears to have been conclude.
The casualty – who is wet and cold – is expected to be conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.
