A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs following a raid on a flat in Shanklin this morning (Monday).
Police executed a warrant at a flat on Alresford Road shortly before 08:30.
Officers searching the address have seized a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, along with some cash and digital devices such as phones and laptops.
The occupier, a 43-year-old woman, has been arrested and taken into custody at Newport Police Station on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
It’s unknown at this stage if the raid is connected with a similar raid back in September 2021.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has said:
“We continue to encourage anyone with information about the supply of drugs in their neighbourhood, or suspicious activity, to report this to police. You can do this by calling 101, or submitting information via the report tool on the www.hampshire.police.uk website”.

shanklin is becoming the new ghetto of the isle of wight
Lock all these scummy drug dealers up. No place for them in our society. Drugs ruin lives. A drug addict will steal to fund their habit.
Totally agree, those brainless morons need to be locked up forever and forgotten about.
No 9ffence but u don’t miss the reason ehy someone is taking drugs, its usually to escape reality I know cos I used to be an addict,
Better to face reality rather than trying to escape it like a loser. Life is too short to allow yourself to be consumed by crap that does you harm.
Lock up all the weed smoking, drug dealing scum forever and throw away the key, simple as that.
People love their expensive powders.
