Strong winds across the South have led to the suspension of cross-Solent services this morning (Sunday).
Red Funnel’s hi-speed Red Jet, which operates between West Cowes and Southampton, has been suspended until further notice due to the adverse conditions.
In Ryde, Hovertravel’s operation between Ryde and Southsea was suspended last night as the winds picked up. The service remains out of action this morning with an update expected at 07:45.
Wightlink is not reporting any disruption to its Fishbourne, Yarmouth or Ryde services at present.
According to local forecasters IW Met Service, it will be a very windy morning with rain at times, followed by a brighter afternoon with broken cloud, occasional sunny spells but also a few showers.
UPDATE @ 09:35 – Red Funnel’s Red Jet has now returned to timetable.
Hovertravel’s service remains suspended with an update due at 11:30.
