A man wanted by Police has been caught after being stopped for motoring offences in Sandown.
Officers spotted the Renault Clio as it was being driven out of Ryde earlier on this evening.
After following the vehicle, the Island’s Joint Response Unit pulled the car over on Perowne Way in Sandown shortly before 18:20.
A number of checks were carried out and it was confirmed that the Clio did not have any insurance and the driver lacked a licence. The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
The driver was taken into custody at Newport Police Station as he was wanted for other offences.
