A vehicle has been seized and 2 vehicle drivers cautioned in what has been a productive day for the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) on the Isle of Wight.
Out and about on the Island, officers stopped the driver of 1 vehicle, a Chevrolet Matiz, for driving without insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized by Stag Lane Motors.
Whilst on patrol officers also issued 1 enforcement for a driver carrying a dangerous load.
Lastly, a ‘fatal 4’ ticket was handed out to a driver who was behind the wheel with no seatbelt on.

Time to start “Ol Crusher” up methinks
Only 1 – they aren’t trying very hard
Good and Stop Idiots parking on Pavements
Parking is horrendous on the island people think they can just park where ever they feel like!
And the bloody deliverie drives just stopping where the want, middle of road, on pavements is a right pain in back side! They do not give a rats ass if they are blocking or slowing your day job down!
Unless a vehicle is an Emergency Service vehicle I would have them towed away.
NO ONE SHOULD PARK ON A PAVEMENT
Great Preston Road in Ryde is a bad spot for horrendous parking.
Some idiot parks 24/7 on the pavement outside the Council Houses
causing congestion.
“No.90 seems to be the Culprit”
Many people think because they live in a property they own the pavement outside.
Personally I blame IW Council for letting people park on pavements.
The Island does not seem to understand the Highway Code
‘Personally, I blame the Council’. No, you don’t, you blame the people at No. 90. Typical curtain twitcher, nosey neighbour, keyboard warrior. Have you nothing more important to care about? What a plonker.
Delivery drivers are allowed to stop and deliver believe it or not!
Yeah but not blocking roads or pavements!! Pull in some where that’s not in the way! Just cus they don’t want to walk alittle further to drop off! Think it’s ok to hold other people up!
No they can’t block the pavement, but they can legally block the road for a limited time to make deliveries.
They say it’s been a productive day??? 1 vehicle and 2 tickets issued what a joke. Yes it’s a start but surely through DVLA or their own vehicle recognition system they could know which vehicles to target and registered address.
When are the idiots with blue lights on front of vehicle lit going to be stopped.. whilst lit on public roads they are not insured… This also goes for the idiot that has undercarriage green lights on his car.. The main problem with these different than standard colour lights is vehicles approaching them, the driver will look at your ‘ pretty’ vehicles, which means that driver will not be looking at the road in front….
