A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug in Newport this afternoon (Friday).
Officers from the local neighbourhoods policing team made a proactive traffic stop whilst out on patrol.
The suspect vehicle came to a stop on Cook Avenue – a quiet residential street between Atkinson Drive and Greenfields Road.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class a drug, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a license.
