A fog warning for the Isle of Wight has been issued by IW Met Service, warning of adverse conditions overnight into tomorrow morning (Friday).
Forecasters say that localised mist and fog patches will become more extensive and widespread by dawn with significantly reduced visibility in some places.
It’s also said there is a significant risk of icy patches in rural parts, especially on untreated roads and surfaces, and also where freezing temperatures and fog combine. Freezing fog patches can be expected where fog drifts into areas of 0c or below.
Motorists should expect sudden and unexpected reduction in visibility when travelling, especially in central and eastern parts of the Island.
The warning is in force from 02:00 until 11:00 tomorrow morning.
