It could soon be all change at Ryde Fire Station

SYSTEM FAULT LEADS TO FIRE SERVICE RESPONSE TO RESIDENTIAL HOME IN RYDE

The activation of the fire alarm at The Adelaide residential home in Ryde prompted a large response from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service this morning (Friday). 

Crews from Ryde, Sandown and Newport were mobilised to Adelaide Place at around 07:00 as a result of the alarm sounding at The Adelaide.

With fears of a fire developing within the building, crews rushed to the scene.

Thankfully, it was quickly established that a system fault had sparked the alert meaning resources still en-route to the scene were quickly stood down.
