Some of the biggest names to be brought to the Isle of Wight by Strings took centre stage at Robin Hill last weekend, with a sell-out Scouting For Girls gig rounding off 3 nights of live music.
The outdoor shows saw Strings Bar & Venue swap its usual Newport home for the popular Downend attraction, with a different act taking to the stage each night.
Drum and bass DJ Sigma kicked things off on Friday, before former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan and his band performed on Saturday.
Meighan’s set featured a mixture of his solo material and Kasabian classics.
Sunday saw Scouting For Girls bring the weekend to a close, with the pop favourites playing a sell-out show packed with singalong tracks and feel-good anthems.
Claydon Connor, of Strings Bar & Venue, has said:
“It’s something we have been wanting to do for a while now – taking what we do on a weekly basis outdoors with a bigger capacity in a really cool location.
“The summer is generally our quietest time of the year as a live venue, so it seemed like the perfect thing for us to have a go at.
“It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, loving what we had created for them. We wanted it to be like mini Hyde Park shows.
“We had fun, and our whole team were amazing. We just love live music, it’s what we do!”
The weekend may be over, but Strings has plenty more live music lined up for the Isle of Wight later this year.
Starsailor, The Blow Monkeys, Republica, The Beat ft Ranking JNR and Nerina Pallot are all set to visit the venue.
