The skatepark at Niton Recreation Ground in the South Wight has been vandalised this week. Members of the Niton Community first noticed that the facilities off Allotment Road had been targeted on Friday morning (16th February). It seems that those committing such acts have a strong affiliation with the Christian faith, with statements mentioning ‘God’ painted onto the metallic surface in pink paint, twice. A well-known quote telling users to ‘live life to the fullest’ is also splattered onto the rear of the ramp. Niton and Whitwell Parish Council have said:
“Our parish council has worked tirelessly to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for everyone. “It’s disheartening to see the efforts of our community undermined by this senseless act of vandalism.”
Looking at the Quality of the workmanship , we can All rule Out BANKSY !!!
A total bunch of idiots, they whinge there is nothing to do for them ,and then spoil it for those that enjoy the skate park ….

Skate parks look better with graffiti but this is lousy.
Skaters and graffiti go together. It’s cultural and not vandalism.
Wait until a few short years and it will likely be ‘Ally Ackbar’ graffiti and the crime of using spray paint will be replaced with drain cleaning fluid for entertainment purposes.

Quality graffiti goes hand in hand with skateparks not mindless doodling of bored 10 year olds by the look of it!.
More likely that it was sprayed by some miserable old bastard in their 70s trying to make the skate park look bad so it will be removed. These old farts literally have nothing to do with their time other than moan.
Seems like a good message to me. Graffiti isn’t to everyone’s likeness, but this promotes the love of God. I am certainly not religious in any way. But at least there’s no swearing.

There’s not a lot of call for religious graffiti these days. It shouldn’t be too hard to track down the artist.
