Established Isle of Wight firm Wight Fire & Security has been acquired by national company Churches Fire & Security, Island Echo can reveal.
Based on Sandown Industrial Estate, Wight Fire Co Ltd was formed in the early 1980s, servicing and supplying fire extinguishers.
As time has passed, the company has expanded to offer a complete range of fire and security-related services. Wight Fire & Security currently operate a fleet of 17 vehicles and employs over 20 staff members.
Churches have confirmed to Island Echo that no jobs are under threat as a result of the acquisition and that the Wight Fire & Security name and brand will remain, ensuring continuity for customers and staff alike.
The acquisition will allow Wight Fire & Security to continue in its delivery of high-quality services to its loyal customer base, now with the added strength and support of the wider Churches Group.
