After winning the toss and electing to bat, Ryde put on 196 runs before being skittled out in the 41st over. Kerry Rice was joint top scorer for Ryde with 56 before being caught by Patel off the bowling of Booth. Jack Summers scored a quick-fire 56 off 52 balls before being clean bowled by Loveless. Bramshaw managed 178 in reply before losing their final wicket in the 43rd over. Ben Gregory (3-35) and Ash Goldsmith (3-36) both picked up trebles of wickets for Ryde, with Julion Jayerajah (2-31) taking a brace and Jarin Jose (1-20) a single wicket. After losing the toss and being put in to bat, Ryde limped to a total of 145 before being skittled out in the 42nd over. Harry Everard top scored for Ryde with a knock of 33 before being caught by Phillimore off the bowling of Wheeler. Pompey overcame the modest Ryde total in the 43rd over. Mark Tuckwell (2-22) took a brace of wickets for the Island side, with Max Harris (1-11), Ian Hailes (1-15) and Liam Ringer (1-29) all taking a wicket apiece. Hook & Newnham 275/8 Ventnor 116 all out Hook & Newnham won by 159 runs In Southern Premier Division 1, Ventnor capitulated to Hook & Newnham, going down to a 159-run defeat. After losing the toss and being put in to bat, Hook & Newnham put on 275 runs in their 50 overs with Rupert Armstrong top scoring with 98 not out. Hugh Calloway (2-38) took a brace of wickets for the South Island side, with Daniel Cox (1-27), Dineth Thimodya (1-34), Charlie Calloway (1-35), George Watts (1-49) and Ollie Morgan (1-66) all picking up a wicket apiece. Ventnor could only manage 116 runs in reply off 32.3 overs. Charlie Calloway top scored with a modest total of 23 before being caught by Neville off the bowling of Armstrong. Ventnor’s defeat leaves them 7th in the table with a points average of 11.4. Ventnor 2nds 199/5 Emsworth 195 all out Ventnor won by 5 wickets Ventnor 2nds went 3rd in Division 3 (South) after a comfortable 5-wicket win against Emsworth at Steephill. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Emsworth were restricted to 195 before being all out in the 41st over. Sam Read did the most damage for the South Wight side, taking 4 wickets for 40 runs.
