The commute home is delayed for those heading to and from Ryde as a result of a crash on the main road at Binstead this evening (Thursday).
A silver VW Golf has collided head-on into a wall near the junction with Church Road.
2 other vehicles have stopped at the scene.
It doesn’t appear as though any injuries have been sustained and no emergency services are present.
The collision, which occurred at around 17:30, is causing a partial obstruction of the carriageway.
UPDATE @ 18:30 – Police are now in attendance.

The sooner driverless cars come to the Island the better.

Good point…. Something clearly needs to be done because it’s quite obvious humans aren’t capable of the simple task of driving a car, at least not safely!
