Residents in 5 postcodes in the Ryde area are without power following an electricity outage this afternoon (Friday).
In the last few minutes, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has confirmed that a fault was reported at 15:13.
Engineers are on their way to remedy the fault, but power is not expected to be restored until 18:15 this evening.
For further information about this power cut call the dedicated helpline by dialling 105.
Alternatively, you can send SSEN a message on Facebook or Twitter (@ssencommunity).
App: Did you know SSEN also have a mobile phone app where you can report, locate, track and subscribe to faults in your area?

No surprise this company has a terrible record for outages. They haven’t got the capacity to keep up supply now so what chance when all these extra houses are built
Lets hope the residents don’t all have electric cars.
Sorry Steve to disappoint you. SSEN has a very good record regarding power outages according to Ofgen, especially the Isle of Wight. I can’t understand your continuous whinging. Are you an ex employee with a grudge?
Again!! Its nearly everyday !
