Orchard House welcomed visitors into an atmosphere of honour, reflection, and heartfelt remembrance yesterday (Remembrance Sunday).
Upon entering the home, guests were greeted by a stunning Remembrance installation, thoughtfully created by our Lifestyle Team to pay tribute to the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Every poppy, every carefully placed detail, and every creative touch represents our deep respect and gratitude. Lest we forget.
Our residents proudly wore the handcrafted poppies made by our dedicated team members, whose time, care, and creativity helped make this commemoration truly meaningful. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this beautiful tribute.
Throughout the day, the home was filled with a sense of unity. Residents and team members joined together to watch the official national Remembrance service, followed by a moving musical afternoon with Peter, whose performance brought comfort, connection, and shared emotion to all who attended.
Katie Schlepp Head of lifestyle, said:
“Today’s events served as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, community, and honouring those who served. Orchard House is proud to continue this tradition with dignity and heartfelt appreciation.”
