A power cut is affecting homes and businesses in the village of Whitwell and surrounding areas this afternoon (Monday).
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say they are aware of the fault on the main network, which is affecting around 179 postcode areas in PO38 1 and PO38 2.
The villages of Whitwell, Niton, St Lawrence and Chale are thought to have been hit by the cut, as well as other remote areas.
Engineers are working to restore power to all customers by 18:30.
UPDATE – Power has been restored to all properties.
