Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks are working to rectify a low voltage fault which has resulted in the loss of electricity to around 55 properties in the Ryde and St Helens areas this afternoon (Friday).
Earlier on today, contractors set up 3-way temporary traffic lights on St John’s Road in Ryde as part of works to repair an underground issue that initially affected just 1 property. They were made aware of the issue during the early hours of this morning.
As part of the ongoing repairs, engineers have had to temporarily isolate power supplies to 22 postcodes in the area of St John’s Road, Ryde and The Green, St Helens.
A spokesperson for SSEN has said:
“We estimate power to be restored to all properties by 4pm today.
“We’d like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused and thank them for their patience as we work to safely carry out repairs to the underground cable network.”
