This year’s edition of the popular Rhythmtree Festival has been cancelled.
The news broke this afternoon (Friday) with organisers releasing a lengthy statement on their website.
Those in charge of the Cowes-based event cited financial pressures as the main reason that the 3-day event, at Sticelett Farm, cannot go ahead. Increasing fuel costs, artist fees and production costs have also been blamed.
Previous iterations have been held at Three Gates Farm in Shalfleet but last year, the event moved to the Rolls Hill site.
Rumours had been circling about the status of this years edition in recent weeks and months. Organisers hope that by cancelling this years event, it will help protect the life and longevity of the much-loved festival.
A Rhythmtree spokesperson has said:
“We want you to all know that we are doing everything possible to ensure that Rhythmtree Festival returns in full for 2024.
“This has been the hardest discussion to date and one we haven’t taken lightly. Once again we thank you for supporting us and hope that you will join us again in 2024”

Organisers have said that those yearning for some live music in 2023 should sign up for the Rhythmtree newsletter where some information on some small intimate gigs that will be held at the venue will be released in due course.
real shame, rhythm tree was brilliant last year, family atmosphere, clean and friendly and superb quality sound and some great artists
Never mind, look forward to 2024. In the meantime there is plenty of jazz music and bands in Newport in2023.
