Police forced entry to a property in Ryde using a circular saw yesterday evening (Tuesday) as part of a search for a missing person.
It was at around 17:30 that officers arrived in the Oakfield area as part of enquiries to locate an individual.
They tried to make entry to a residential address using the ‘big red key’, but failed. They then used a larger battering ram, but had to resort to using cutting equipment to slice the front door open.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed this activity was not connected to a warrant execution, nor was it in relation to the search for missing Sarah Watson.

Maybe they could have just knocked!
Too easy! and the outcome?? think they have to pay for a new door.
new term for braking and entering..
