POLICE SWOOP ON RED JET TO ARREST TEEN ON SUSPICION OF DEALING CLASS A DRUGS

The attention of commuters was caught when Police officers swooped to arrest an 18-year-old man at the Red Jet terminal in Cowes yesterday (Wednesday) 

A large number of officers descended on Fountain Quay at just before 17:00, raising questions amongst Island Echo readers as to what was occurring.

Hampshire Constabulary have now confirmed that the operation was to arrest an 18-year-old man from Newport on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. He was also arrested on suspicion of sending malicious communications.

The unnamed male has been bailed. Enquiries are ongoing.

Glad to here another piece of crap has been arrested, however a large number of police as reported swoop to arrest 1 person really, was the person armed?

Bit much really, even if the guy’s a dealer, if that amount of disruption really necessary? It’s not as if the guy was wearing an explosive vest or carrying a gun so surely it could be dealt with a bit more “low key”

not a young person – 18 years old, an adult in the eyes of the law. Got caught being a dealer and being malicious to others – big enough to do the crime and will do the time – tough.
