Police are searching a number of gardens in central Shanklin this afternoon (Monday) in the hunt for a wanted individual.
Officers have taken up position around Milford Road, Avenue Road and Atherley Road with a dog unit going from house to house.
Its unclear at this stage what has prompted the response, but Hampshire Constabulary have been approached for a statement.
No cordons or road closures are in place at this time.
UPDATE – Police have confirmed that officers are in the area carrying out enquiries in relation to a domestic incident which was reported yesterday (Sunday).
It is unclear at this stage if this afternoon’s incident is related to an arrest made in Sandown – also relating to a domestic incident in Shanklin on Sunday.
