VIDEO: POLICE INVESTIGATE DODGY DRIVING CAUGHT ON DASHCAM

The same vehicle was seen at Racecourse Roundabout on a different day

Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating a report of dangerous driving after a dashcam video was uploaded to Facebook.

Islander Jarv Stevenson was driving home along Quarr Hill near Binstead yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) when he witnessed some truly dodgy driving. His vehicle’s dashcam captured the shocking incident on video, which he has since uploaded to Facebook.

In the video – which has been watched over 600,000 times – the driver of a red Mazda 3 can be seen trying to overtake vehicles travelling in an eastbound direction. The car narrowly misses hitting oncoming traffic heading towards Fishbourne.

The questionable driving has prompted thousands of comments, shares and reactions with almost all condemning the driver’s actions. Some locals have said that the vehicle has been seen driving in a questionable manner elsewhere on the Island too.

Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that they have received a report of a red Mazda seen driving dangerously on the A3054 in the Fishbourne area at around 16:50 yesterday.

Officers are investigating the circumstances and enquiries are ongoing at this time.
