A police cordon has been erected at a busy Newport retail park following an incident this morning (Thursday).
Officers are in attendance at Town Gate Retail Park – the home of Halfords and Snap Fitness Gym – where a cordon has been put in place surrounding several car parking spaces at the corner of the building.
Hampshire Constabulary is yet to officially confirm the reason for the cordon and police presence, but it’s thought that the activity is in response to an assault, with a significant amount of blood present on the pavement and kerb.
